Purchasing Buyer

Position will be responsible to conduct and maintain the supply chain for obtaining goods which directly support production.

  • Develop requests for quotations and proposals from approved sources, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and manages day to day supplier activities
  • Work closely with Projects, Engineering and production personnel to ensure accuracy of materials ordered.
  • Expedite delivery of materials to ensure on-time deliveries required for production; resolve delivery discrepancies as needed
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships internal and external customers, other procurement peers and suppliers
  • Demonstrate integrity with strong business and personal ethics; self-starting team player
  • Good communication, ability to interact effectively with others
  • Highly organized and able to handle a heavy work load in a fast paced environment to meet production schedule deadlines. 
  • Maintain vendor performance records for assigned commodities.
  • Monitor market trends and maintain historical prices for assigned commodities

Education / Experience:

  • Degree and/or 2 years of proven performance success within a supply chain/procurement organization.
  • Working knowledge of Lean, manufacturing processes and metal alloys such as steel and aluminum is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MRP and Microsoft Office products.
  • Foreign supply chain procurement a plus.

Purchasing Expediter

Schedules and coordinates flow of material within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production

  • Checks purchase order status of all active purchase orders.
  • Contacts Suppliers and updates reports and M2M accordingly.
  • Notifies Buyers and internal personnel of late deliveries.
  • Searches inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity.
  • Compiles records of items purchased or transferred between departments, prices, deliveries, and inventories. 
  • Verifies bills from suppliers with bids and purchase orders and approves bills for payment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.

Education / Experience:

  • Prefer degree and/or 2 years experience in manufacturing

Detail Drafting Person

Design and detailing of air cooled heat exchangers involving mechanical design and fabrication details by performing the following duties.

  • Detail air-cooled heat exchangers for shop fabrication.
  • Prepare shop detail drawings, including bundle assemblies, plenums, columns, ladders and platforms.
  • Communicate with mechanical design engineers and shop personnel.
  • General knowledge of welded steel fabrication practices.
  • Drafting skills, AutoCad training required. Inventor training preferred.
  • Computer skills must include Windows, AutoCAD, Autodesk Mechanical, and Excel.
  • Familiar with American Petroleum Institute 661.
  • Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.

Education / Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of either:
    • High School Diploma or GED Certification with Fundamentals and Principles of CAD Design classes and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in heat exchanger and/or structural steel drafting;
    • Associate’s degree in CAD Drafting and Design with a minimum of one (1) year experience in structural steel fabrication drafting.
  • Must have one (1) year experience in 3D modeling (Inventor preferred).
  • Preferably, the candidate would have an Associate’s degree, 3+ years’ experience in heat exchanger and/or structural steel detailing, and experience with AutoDesk Inventor.

Structure Engineer

Perform air-cooled heat exchanger structural design to customer specifications, the American Institute of Steel Construction and the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction.

  • Prepare design calculations and customer drawings for the above scope of work. This includes Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other structural static and dynamic load analysis.
  • Check structural designs and drawings of other Mechanical Design Engineers.
  • Design air-cooled heat exchangers per customer specifications and American Society of Mechanical Engineering Codes.
  • Communicate with sales, customer, shop and detail drafters.
  • General knowledge of welded steel fabrication practices.
  • Good drafting skills.
  • Computer skills must include STAAD-Pro, AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of the American Institute of Steel Construction, the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineering codes.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree (B.S.) in Mechanical (or related field) Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license and certification to approve structural design
  • PE certification or the ability to get PE certified in the Canadian provinces
  • Minimum of three (3) years structural design and finite element analysis experience.

Quality Control Inspector, Level II Certification - - Night Shift

This position will be responsible for carrying out inspections and test activities in accordance with established quality plans and engineering specifications

  • Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing and Radiographic Testing
  • Ability to perform dimensional and visual inspections and/or testing of materials and products to determine compliance
  • Ability to use precision and non-precision measurement tools and test devices as appropriate
  • Must possess strong computer skills
  • Must have some practical experience and be willing to continue physically working in NDT part of the time.
  • UT experience in Manual Shear Wave required.
  • Additional experience with Phased Array UT is a plus.
  • ISO Quality Management system experience
  • Certifications in other methods are a plus.
  • Personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years industry inspection experience.
  • Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and Customer specifications.
  • Must have working knowledge of all industry welding codes and standards including:
    • American Society of Mechanical Engineering, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII
    • National Board of Inspection Code for Repairs and Alterations of Pressure Vessels.
  • Previous working knowledge of Nondestructive Examinations, Heat Treating, Paint and Protective Coatings, required.
  • Must be able to use a variety of precision and non-precision inspection and test equipment.
  • Experience with calibration of inspection and test equipment preferred
  • Experience in an ISO 9001 environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

Header Combination  A  Welder – Night Shift

  • Must pass ASME code test and pass a 6G pipe and horizontal plate test
  • Prefer 2 years’ experience
  • Capable of welding open root tig pipe joint, filling with 7018 fluxcore. Welding is 100% UT and X-ray weld on pipe
  • Weld metal parts together using Tig, Mig, Stick, welding processes to fabricate or repair headers or header subassemblies.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading
  • Layout, fits, and tacks work pieces together
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs, operate overhead crane

Machining CNC Machine Operator – Night Shift

  • Set up and operate numerical control machines or machining centers to perform various machine functions such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and broaching of metallic and nonmetallic work pieces.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
  • Mount, align, and secure tooling, attachments, and work piece on machine using overhead crane.
  • Calculate and set machine controls to position spindle in relationship to work piece and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow.

Structure Brake Operator –Night Shift 

  • Should be able to work overtime as required by workload
  • Ability to set up and operate power brake to bend, notch, punch, form rolls, arc, or straighten metal plates or sheet metal and structural shapes to blueprint or sketch specifications; selects, positions, and aligns dies in machine ram and bed.
  • Detail layout on work stock from blueprints or templates with ability to verify dimensions of work piece
  • 2 or more years of experience in required machine
  • Must be able to operate overhead crane, forklift is a plus
  • CNC program knowledge is a plus
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and operate overhead crane
  • Operate 300 ton brake
  • Must be able to read prints and calculate measurements
